Christmas in the Country with the Kids

It started with a visit to Santa…

Which was plenty of fun in itself, for my boys and their lovely cousins.

But then we went for a stroll through the woods, wondering how we’d get home.

And a solution presented itself, as if by magic….

Blake had to be persuaded, as he was frightened at first. But Freddy the horse was small and gentle and soon he was enjoying himself.

(And quite frankly, if mum wasn’t afraid of looking a prat in her Santa earmuffs, then what did he have to be scared of?!)

Brodie and the girls were naturals, and loved the fact they got the three biggest ponies.

Then it was a quick stroll through the lodges to reach our woodland home, put a log on the fire and dive head first into the Quality Street.

Probably the best Christmas in the world (or at least we thought so).
