Christmas Blog Gems: Tired Mummy of Two

blog gems

Well I’ve eaten my own body weight in Toblerone, my house looks like an explosion in a toy factory and I’m entering that tricky week when I’ve got to try to juggle getting back to work with looking after two children who have still not come down from all the Santa-induced excitement.

So I’m very grateful to all the lovely bloggers who have provided me with their blog gems (Christmas Blog Gems will be turning into New Year Blog Gems very soon!) and keeping Mummy Central interesting with all of their favourite posts.

Today it’s the turn of the lovely Laura. Let me introduce her….

Laura is a Tired Mummy of two beautiful, strong willed, argumentative, confident little girls. Living in Manchester with her blogging hubby Gaming Daddy of Two. With one daughter fighting Leukaemia, Laura blogs about everyday life and trying to live each day to the fullest.

My favourite post this year has to be a poem written from Alison’s point of view on the one year anniversary of Elizabeth’s diagnosis.

Nothing in life feels quite as therapeutic as a nice rant, and when I saw payday loans companies advertising on children’s TV I just couldn’t help myself.

Having a child with Leukaemia is hard at times but when you are brought face to face with the loss of other children with cancer it really does bring home how lucky I am, but also how much things can go wrong.

Using my blog to raise the profile of a political bill was never something I thought I would do but when I heard about the Saatchi Bill I knew I had to help pass this bill and save lives in the future .

The one thing I love more than anything else about being a blogger is the community that we have formed and I loved working with them all to create our own story by each adding a paragragh as the days went on.
