Competition: Win 1000 business cards

trapped

This is a big year for me.

My main job title for the past 7 years has been “mum”.

Wiper of snot, bums, tears. Giver of meals, bedtime stories, hugs. Good timekeeper, multi-tasker, fair disciplinarian, night watch… woman.

But with Blake starting school in the Autumn, my hours in the mothering department are going to be cut drastically.

Meaning I can concentrate on finding more of the other kind of work.

The paid kind. Which as I recall was quite rewarding.

As a journalist by trade, who now has blogging skills to add to my CV, I have to get the word out.

Because finding jobs as a writer is only 50 per cent talent and 10 per cent luck, in my opinion.

The other 40 per cent is who you know – and how you make them remember you.

No, I’m not going to streak through the middle of a newspaper office (been there, done that!)

But I am going to start giving out business cards to everyone I meet.

Which is why instantprint couldn’t have come at a better time, when they gave me a chance to review their cards.

Using one of the templates they provided, I emailed my chosen design and within a week had several boxes of professional business cards in a matt finish, printed on high quality silk board.

The artwork I provided – the Mummy Central logo – was reproduced clearly and using vibrant colour.

In my experience, business cards are often expensive, or the printing company will offer a cheaper price only if you put their own logo and contact details on the reverse.

instantprint doesn’t do this. Their cards are cut to 8.5 x 5.5 cm. They are available on economy, premium and exclusive paper with the option for a matt, gloss or velvet lamination – so you can find something to suit your budget.

What you can win

instantprint is offering 4 lucky readers the chance to win 1000 business cards each.

Winners can submit their own design, choosing from a matt or gloss finish, and they will be posted directly to them.

There are 3 templates for your design, or you can do your own.

It’s a great deal if you’re starting your own business, or looking for cards to hand out at the next bloggers event/conference.

Those pesky T&Cs

The competition is open until midnight on February 8. Winners will be chosen at random and informed within 24 hours.

Failure to claim your prize within 3 days will result in it being offered to someone else.

Designs must be emailed to instantprint within 2 weeks of your win, to claim your business cards.

Best of luck (and if anyone has any work for a fine writer and blogger, my number’s on the card).
